Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for her role as the character Detective Diane Russell. She is best known for her performance on All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney was the sole child of the United Auto Workers executive and his wife, who was a household worker. Her upbringing was in a home that included four brothers. When she was a kid, Delaney dreamed about becoming a reporter for the court. Her modeling career began in highschool and eventually gained commercials when she moved into New York. She was cast as a young innocent in 1981's soap opera All My Children. Since then, Delaney has been featured in many TV dramas and films. Delaney has not lived a good or satisfying personal life. The talented actress has had to deal with alcoholism in the past and had two marriages that failed. In 2005 her custody was taken away from her.
